Ganesh Himal Region Trekking
Close to the capital city Kathmandu, Ganesh Himal region lies between the central and eastern part of Nepal. It includes a range of peaks among which the highest four are Ganesh I or Yangra (7422m), Ganesh II (7118m), Salasungo (7043m) also known as Ganesh III and Pabil/Ganesh IV (7104m). There are fourteen other peaks over 6000 meters.
The mountain range is named after the Hindu deity of good fortune, elephant-headed Ganesh. Budhi Gandaki, Bhote Koshi and Trishuli are the major rivers that flow in this region.
