Ganesh Himal Trekking

Trip Information

Ganesh Himal is at an altitude of 7110 meters & 23326 feet above the sea level located in central Nepal. The name Ganesh has its origin from the Gods. Ganesh is the son of Lord Shiva and mother goddess Parvati. So, this Ganesh Himal is one the sacred mountain and the region is rather isolated/quiet.

Trekking to the Ganesh Himal, for the most part, is viewing the awesome Ganesh Himal ranges - Ganesh Himal I, Ganesh Himal II, Ganesh Himal III, and Ganesh Himal IV. The other lookouts of this trek are Mount Macchapuchare (Fishtail), Manaslu, Paldor Himal, Langtang Li Rung (7225 m). On our trail, numerous wild species like Himalayan thar, gaur (a wild large ox), monkeys, and musk deer can be perceived as well as if the trekking happens to be in the spring season, the vista of floras around 526 categories of different plants and 40 types of orchids can be spotted.

The landscape and elegant mountainous views give this trekking a natural feel.

The inhabitants of the upper region are mostly the Tamang communities whereas the lower region is occupied by Newar, Magar, Gurung, Brahmin, and Chhetri communities. The maximum societies residing in this region practice Buddhism with their exceptional languages, customs, outfits, and values.

The kind cordiality of the societies of this region offers you a memorable trekking experience.

The trekking trail to the Ganesh Himal starts from driving alongside the Trishuli River (one of the major river that flows in this region). We will then transient through some of the interesting places such as Singala Pass, Pangsang Bhanjyang, Jaisal Kunda, & Jyamrung. We will be trailing over the pleasing communities and untouched rhododendron forest to Bhalche (2020 meters). We continue our trek along the fine looking rich green hills to Kharka then climb up to the hill near Rupchet (3720 meters).

Trekking all the way through the pristine forest & lake passing the Singla Bhanjyang (4750 meters), we reach Phedi (3545 meters) & here, we set our temporary campsite. Our trail then passes by Pansang Bhanjyang (4000 meters) and we will then be sightseeing lakes and observe the striking scenery view of wonderful Ganesh Himal ranges. Finally, we retrace back to Kathmandu.

We suggest spring for this trek to view the wonderful flora of this region but this trek can be done all year around. Ganesh Himal Hiking Team (GHHT) operates this trekking package all year round for you to experience untouched remote region with stunningly beautiful landscape and vegetation of Nepal with qualified trained trekking leaders and guides. For more information about Ganesh Himal Trekking, please feel free to email or contact us.

An amazing trip with Ganesh Himal Hiking to Kathmandu, Mt. Everest BC, Pokhara and Chitwas

hil32015 | Spokane, Washington | October 26 , 2014

Rating: 5 - Excellent

We received outstanding personal service from Binod and his team at Ganesh Himal Hiking Team. It was an exceptional experience in every way. We were met at the airport, he gave us personal transportation along with many great tours to cultural sites in Kathmandu, he took us to some wonderful restaurants and he set us up in a very nice hotel in Thammel. Binod really knows how to take great care of his clients with a personal touch. We also loved meeting his mother, father and his family which added greatly to our cultural experience in Nepal.

Additionally, Binod's brother Bishnu, was our guide on our trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp. Bishnu took excellent care of my trekking partner and me throughout the trek to Everest Base Camp and back. Our trek was also an amazing cultural experience as well as a remarkable trekking experience! We loved the Nepalese people and, of course, we loved seeing the incredible scenery. Also, Binod personally guided us on a trip to Pokhara, Nepal where he arranged for us a guided rafting trip, a paragliding trip and a trip to Chitwan National Park where we did a tour on the back of an elephant spotting wildlife and we were able to attend a nice cultural program. The accommodations in Pokhara and the food were fantastic. I highly recommend Binod and his Ganesh Himal Hiking Team to anyone who is interested in receiving the best service and the best trekking and cultural experience in Nepal.
